Revolution: Agora Productions is working on an on-going series entitled “Revolution,” which seeks to stimulate passion for positive change among young people across the globe. The project examines the lives and impact of former dissidents and others who waged largely non-violent struggles for democracy, liberty and human rights, while encouraging today’s youth to believe in their inherent potential to transform their own lives, society, and the world they inhabit. The first project within the “Revolution” series to be completed is "The Power of the Powerless," which documents the inspiring non-violent Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia. Each film in the series includes an educational CD-ROM with teacher support materials for college and upper division high school students as well as a color booklet with maps, historical overviews, important essays and photos. (see Ancillary Programs & Educational Tools).
The Moral Courage of John F. Kennedy: Agora Productions is currently working on an important feature length documentary film, companion educational CD-ROM and booklet, which sheds new light on the moral courage of President John F. Kennedy during the height of the Cold War. This unique undertaking seeks neither to assert liberal or conservative political agendas, nor will it portray JFK as a saint. The intention behind this project is to illuminate the leadership qualities, broad humanity and courage, required for creating peace by examining President Kennedy’s record in foreign relations, his effort to avoid armed conflict and avert thermonuclear war.
Agora Productions is a non-profit public benefit company incorporated in California.
